Legacy: After more than a decade, we are so excited to present another vintage of our Parallel! A blend of 50% Merlot and 50% Malbec, the last Parallel was first crafted in 2010, and is one of our most coveted library bottles. One of our lesser known custom red blends, this originated when Susan, still helming the winery after David’s passing, wanted to continue to create interesting red blends that would showcase Oregon’s climate - and to create wines that David himself would have liked. Susan had never heard of a blend of Merlot and Malbec, but thought that the combination could be delicious - the softness of the Merlot taming some of the intensity of the Malbec, which would help provide structure to the wine.

Aroma: Woodsy, ripe red fruit, earthy, pepper, green tobacco and herbs

Palate: Silky, caramelized or stewed plums, licorice root, sweet tobacoo

Mouth Feel: Silky, balanced, smooth tannins

Legacy: Our David’s Tableau Vivant is a sweet and lasting homage to our founder, David Teppola. His final project, David passed in the midst of crafting this exceptional, right bank style Bordeaux blend. Completed posthumously by his wife Susan against all odds, our David’s Tableau Vivant tells the story of what matters most: the many beautiful years David and Susan shared together, and a life lived well. 

Each subsequent incarnation carries with it the legacy of the Teppola family, and testifies to love and commitment that last through generations of family.

Legacy: First introduced in 2014, our Winter Red Blend is intended to be your go-to holiday wine. Kaleidoscope-like in its comprehensiveness, the Winter Red is a dizzying blend of ripe cherry and dark berries with a finish redolent of warming mulled spice and - smooth enough to be enjoyed on its own, and robust enough to be paired with any winter meal. Our Winter Red Blends always feature our bigger red varietals, such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Merlot, or Zinfandel. Blend specifics vary by vintage, as each individual vintage's components are evaluated and blended to tell a unique season each winter. Quantities are typically extremely limited. 

Aroma: Dark fruit, tobacco, leather

Palate: Fig, spice, brambleberry, tobacco 

Mouth Feel: Robust, full-bodied, firm tannin

Region: Rogue Valley AVA

Legacy: In every vintage we have a side project going for our wine club that is something special and unusual. In 2019, after nearly a decade since the last vintage, we produced a limited production Tempranillo. Native to Spain, Tempranillo is an exciting and complex bold red. In addition to rich fruit, the layered woods, tobacco and spice notes have us coming back to this wine. A cinch to pair with food, this wine will compliment anything from a rich meat driven dish like lamb, to lighter foods, think figs and balsamic over burrata to delight your palate in the warmer months. 

Aroma: Cocoa, spice, dark fruit

Palate: Rich dark fruit, blackberry, plum, pepper, aged tobacco, notes of cedarwood 

Mouth Feel: Silky, slight tannin on the finish, balanced acidity 

Region: Rogue Valley 

Legacy: Before crafting our signature red wine blends, our winemakers look for spectacular barrels of our single varietal bold reds, which are produced using grapes from Oregon's warmer AVA's. If barrels that show exceptional promise are found, then we craft a single varietal bottling to showcase Oregon's incredible fruit. Our single varietal bold reds are traditionally extremely limited in quantity, and are produced as Wine Club Exclusive wines. They are among our favorite wines to highlight at our Farm to Table, wine-paired dinners.

Aroma: Dark fruit, bittersweet chocolate, minerality 

Palate: Plum, blackberry, Creme de Cassis 

Mouth Feel: Balanced acids, and velvety, soft tannins

Region: Oregon (3 barrels from Rogue Valley, 2 barrels from Columbia Valley)

Legacy: While we purchase many of our more robust varietals such as Cabernet Sauvignon specifically for one of our legacy red blends such as our David's Tableau Vivant, some vintages produce outstanding barrels that inspire the Teppola family to craft a single varietal bottling, such as this 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon.
