2018 Oregon Roan
Our Oregon Roan is one of our most anticipated and well-loved red blends, and while each vintage is beloved, our 2018 is that will capture you from the first moment.
One of our most requested red blends, this handcrafted wine will be a treasure to both those familiar with this Syrah driven blend, and those who are just getting acquainted with it! Our Oregon Roan’s spelling is a playful take on the color and uniqueness of each vintage (reminiscent of a racing horse). The composition itself highlights Syrah as the hero varietal, as an homage to the Rhône region of France. But the Teppola family chooses to blend the Syrah with varietals that enhance the flavor profile, finish and improve the ageability. In its youth this presents as a powerful vintage full of bold fruit, featuring a pomegranate and a brambley nose. As always, the 2018 Roan will reward both those who choose to drink this now, or age it to allow more of the earthy, caramel and spiced notes to come to the forefront. This vintage of the Roan is a perfect companion wine to grilled stuffed mushrooms, juicy smoked meats, and classic barbecue!
Decanting or aerating is recommended. Serve slightly cooler than room temperature. Enjoy now through 2026.
