2017 'Menefee Vineyard' Reserve Pinot Noir
This unique vineyard features the highly coveted Jory soil, due to its westerly coordinates within our home AVA, which creates a unique juxtaposition with our estate vineyard. Opening with a mysterious play of mossy firewood and damp earth, this Pinot Noir is evocative of fresh soil after the first fall rainstorm. Layered and nuanced, this wine blossoms, ending with show stopping with notes of licorice root, dark cherry, and cacao characteristic of its Jory soil. An appealing coating mouth feel helps to ensure a slow and poignant finish. The result is a delicious, classic Oregon Pinot Noir that is refreshing enough to enjoy a glass on its own on a chilly fall night, or bold enough to pair with roasted meats.
