2018 Estate Chardonnay

Our first 100% Estate Chardonnay is a wine we have been eagerly anticipating. This 2018 Estate Chardonnay is simply the perfect reflection of our style of wine making. Our style has developed throughout our 33 vintages making wine in Oregon's Willamette Valley so it's an absolute thrill for us at Laurel Ridge to be able to perfect our Chardonnay with grapes from our vineyard.

 

The foundation of this unique, crowd-pleasing Chardonnay rests upon our use of both stainless steel and partial neutral oak barrels to strike the perfect balance between "crisp" and "butter." This creates a well-rounded, flavorful white wine that pleases even the staunchest Chardonnay opponents. Flavors of Meyer Lemon and Golden Delicious apple predominate with a lovely balance of fruit, acidity and minerality. A hint of oak from the neutralized barrels makes it wonderuflly drinkable.

 

Held in 50% neutral oak and 50% stainless steel before blending and bottling.

 

Served chilled-to-preference. We recommend serving just slightly cooler than room temperature. Enjoy now through 2023.
