2015 Barrel Select Pinot Noir: Member Exclusive
2015 was a stunning growing season although incredibly hot much like 2014, but in most vineyards in the Willamette Valley was hotter. An early budbreak lead to an early harvest and much like the 2014 vintage, the fruit we brought in was gorgeous. Summer conditions in the Willamette Valley were so warm with intense heat that we saw lower levels of acidity bringing a luscious, silky and relaxed quality to our Pinot noirs. We also had smaller yields than both 2014 on our sites and the berry size was moderate leading to more concentrated flavors.
The grapes for this delicious 2015 Barrel Select Oregon Pinot noir are from Finnigan Hill Vineyard in the Chehalem Mountains AVA. This Pinot Noir greets with beautiful fruit followed by exceptional tannins, balanced acid and finishes with notes of blueberry and blackberry. This is one of the most delightful vintages we have produced in our 30+ years making Willamette Valley Pinot noir. We're sure you'll love it, too.
